The Lazzara Kitchen

A modern cooking and entertaining space with a touch of rustic elegance. Flower Mound, TX.

Fueled by a passion for healthy cooking, big, delicious meals, and a love of entertaining, the Lazzaras were eager to redesign and remodel their Mediterranean style kitchen in Flower Mound, TX. They had a handful of challenges to overcome and goals to achieve with the space, and wanted something they could enjoy for years to come.

As folks who love to entertain, one of their biggest concerns was the way they interacted with guests—they wanted the cook to be a part of the party. And even though the kitchen is located in the center of the home, the cook often felt isolated from guests in the pre-existing layout. To solve this issue, our team had to find a way to create a more open concept where the cook could be the center of attention and part of the entertainment, and could guide the evening without having to wander too far away from the cooktop.

Storage was also an issue: the kitchen had lots of cabinets, but lacked other critical storage areas for ingredients, cooking tools, and items used for entertaining. The Lazzaras also knew that to cook healthy and fantastic meals, they would have to invest in a much higher quality of appliance, the kind that offered the features and benefits of new technology while maintaining the proper aesthetic appeal.

After much research and leg work, they realized the only appliances that would server all their needs were products from Wolf and Subzero, which provided good-looking, design-appropriate items that also serve a modern, tech-savvy family.

With their vision designed, built, and installed, the Lazzara family enjoys cooking and entertaining more than ever in a spacious open concept with top-of-the-line appliances. We only hope to be invited to their next event.

Project Challenges

Features and benefits of the Wolf Cooktop

6 Burners Plus Infrared Griddle
Burners enough for just about any culinary challenge, plus 15,000 Btu griddle for everything from perfect pancakes to sizzling fajitas.

Cast-Iron Burner Grates with Easy-Slide Finish
Continuous cast-iron grates with a matte black, porcelain finish let you slide pots easily on and off heat, or from one burner to another.

Rigorously Tested to Ensure Dependability
Built with superior-quality materials, Wolf products are designed to last a minimum of 20 years under far heavier use than any home cook will ever subject them to. To ensure reliability, engineers stress-test designs under laboratory conditions that simulate years of use. Major components are tested and subjected to extreme stresses prior to going into the final design of the unit, and every major function of every completed product is tested before shipping.

Signature Red Control Knobs
Instantly identify your rangetop as a Wolf, and provide infinite control for more precise cooking.

Our Most Powerful and Precise Burners Ever
Wolf’s patented dual-stacked burner design means each spot on your rangetop is really two burners in one. The upper tier of the burner now produces up to 20,000 Btu for 30% faster boils, and the power to maintain performance even when you’re searing several steaks at once. Meanwhile, the lower tier allows you to dial down to just a breath of flame for gentle simmering and melting. And with a sealed, seamless burner pan, drips and spills stay on the surface for easy clean-up.

Stainless Steel Construction
Heavy-gauge stainless steel with a classic brushed finish stands up for decades, and matches other Sub-Zero and Wolf products, allowing for seamless integration into your kitchen design.

Exceptional 24/7 Customer Support
Whether you’re shopping for appliances or have questions about those you already own, the Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Customer Care team has a reputation for service that’s as exceptional as its products. They’re based in Madison, Wisconsin, just footsteps from the factory, and are standing by to provide expert, friendly, problem-solving support.

Spark Ignition System For Each Burner
Each burner has a sensor that detects if the flame has gone out while you’re cooking and automatically re-ignites it for improved temperature control and added safety.
