EDB Paying It Forward In The Community At-Large

I am certain, you all have heard the phrase, watch what you ask for, you just might get it. It really is true, imagine getting blessed twice the blessing you asked for? Such as the case with our most recent family wish. Shortly after we had recovered from the loss of our beloved Teddy, a 10-year-old Yorkie teacup. We felt safe to discuss the topic of the type of dog we would adopt next. Since the last pet was selected by me, the boys decided they would make the next selection. After some deliberation between a Siberian Husky and German Shephard, it was decided that it would be best to adopt a German Shephard because of their loyalty to the owner and family.

Oddly enough 2 weeks later, I stepped out to find 2 beautiful German shepherds running lose around our showroom. The crew had said, the dogs were there last Friday. But about the same time, the animal shelter had arrived to take the pups away, I guess a few days later one of the neighbors called the Animal shelter. That afternoon, I could not stop thinking about the two dogs I had just seen. I wondered, how did they come to be lost? What would happen to them now? That night, I shared my story with my family and it became pretty obvious that our prayers were answered.

The next day, we went to see the pups at the animal shelter, where we were told that the pops had no ID, were not chipped and most likely were dropped off by someone who did not want them anymore. More importantly, the two were inseparable and would have to be adopted as a pair or be put to sleep.

The odds of someone being able to adopt 2 almost fully grown German Shepherds was slim to none. That evening, we had an important decision to make. No one in the family could stop thinking about these two precious dogs or their sad faces in the shelter. The only problem was, we had prayed for one German Shephard, not two. How would we handle two fully grown large dogs with our busy schedules? We knew, this was truly a gift from the heavens above.

On January 31st at 1:03 PM, my family and I were at the Richardson Animal shelter and we were taking our 2 new family members home. Bella and Shotzy have truly blessed our family. In essence, they rescued us.
