Champions Court Bar

In most homes today, the wet bar has been replaced with the open concept kitchen between the family room and the kitchen, but that’s not the case for everyone, and that’s because not all homeowners have the same needs or are at the same stage in their lives. Such is the case for Haney and Alice Bell, the homeowners of this beautiful home in Stonebriar Village. Earlier this year, when other people were busy watching Netflix, they were busy redesigning their wet bar in preparation for their much-anticipated annual neighborhood Christmas party.

Over several years, their entire house has been tastefully redesigned and renovated to reflect their taste and lifestyle. As for the bar, since it is situated in the center of the first floor, it was critical that it would take center stage for function, circulation and aesthetic appeal. The space in the bar is compact with a curved wall in a critical place typically designated for optimal storage. Unfortunately, reframing the curved walls was out of the question because the walls would affect the beautiful marble tiled floors that were refinished not too long ago. We chose to keep the existing footprint of the wall and worked hard to find ideal storage solutions wherever we could. Our objective for this space was to create meaningful storage solutions for everything necessary to serve a large crowd and enough space for two bartenders.

  • Create necessary storage for everything needed in a bar during a busy party
  • Cabinetry with an area to display special items
  • Wet bar with a sink for ice.
  • Keep the existing openings on both sides to be used as serving areas
  • Improve the space aesthetically, including providing underlighting for the onyx bar

  • Overcome the existing curved wall to create meaningful storage without moving walls
  • Add necessary storage for everything – plus several counter appliances

They hope you enjoy this beautiful bar as much as we did while our team was designing and renovating it. It has been another amazing journey with special people, as we transformed yet another space in their home.
